CNN's “Black In America 4″ in Silicon Valley


On Sunday Evening at 8pm Eastern-Standard Time, Soledad O’Brien will present her fourth Black In America Series entitled “The New Promised Land: Silicon Valley”. The program will air on CNN. “The New Promised Land” follows the emergence in Silicon Valley of eight African-American Entrepreneurs as they integrate into Silicon Valley.

Silicon Valley once referred to a specific region of Northern California comprised of San Jose, Cupertino, San Carlos, Redwood City and the surrounding area. In today’s modern world, however, Silicon Valley is a Euphemism for all “High-Tech” business in The United States with San Jose symbolically representing the Capitol of Silicon Valley.

This fourth segment of the Black In America Series will track the progress  eight African-American entrepreneurs as they try to transcend both the de facto color and class lines of Silicon Valley. The eight African-American entrepreneurs, which Soledad O’Brien follow, believe that their creative and innovative ideas which will make the difference as they compete with Veterans of Silicon Valley for funding.

“The New Promised Land” should be even more compelling for viewers to watch given the Nation’s current demands for the economic empowerment.
